Lebeka has been working with children and families since 2007. She received her Master of Social Work from Yeshiva University in New York City, and has worked in numerous settings including schools, daycare, non-profit settings, and psychiatric facilities.
Lebeka specializes in individual and family therapy for children from pre-school age to teenage years. Treatment issues include anger, trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, attachment issues, and grief and loss.
Her therapy style is warm, family-oriented, and positive. Children need a safe space built on trust where they can work through their struggles. By combining family therapy, play therapy, and therapeutic conversation, Lebeka helps children and families find short-term relief while working toward long-term solutions.
Lebeka has advanced training in family therapy including Theraplay and Filial Therapy; play therapy training in Child-Centered Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy; and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for trauma processing. She is working toward certification in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
Lebeka believes the greatest potential for change lies in the context of the family, and offers the option of therapy in the privacy of your home at no additional cost.
